Our Solutions
In the US in 2025 it has become too easy and normalized to seek and embrace silos that reinforce our existing beliefs. Whether through media consumption, use of social media, or navigating our day to day lives in our communities and with our families, it has become too easy to not engage with differing perspectives, which builds intolerance and foments division.
Through community events and educating voters, Americans for Political Tolerance aims to reduce these silos and facilitate our ability to engage with and learn from one another.

Decreasing Public Demand for Toxic Politics
We believe that the current toxicity plaguing politics across the US has been exacerbated by silos and the misinformation spread through corporate and social media, companies which seek profit and influence over civility and cooperation. By supporting peaceful and open dialogue among groups with differing perspectives and interests, Americans for Political Tolerance seeks to cultivate demand for civility, which will incentivize these companies to change their practices in line with shifting public demand. Americans for Political Tolerance hopes that by reducing toxicity in American media, we will encourage our elected officials to become more civil and collaborative, both for the sake of the country and to gain support among voters.
To avoid misinformation, we recommend being judicious with your news sources, particularly with social media. Oftentimes a headline is targeted to maximize clicks, rather than to inform and educate.
