Bringing Groups Together

Americans for Political Tolerance's philosophy is that through meaningful dialogue, the American people can lead the way in restoring civility to our politics. We host events and facilitate conversations in which we bring together groups with opposing viewpoints to learn from one another. 

Nonpartisan

Americans for Political Tolerance is a nonpartisan organization. We do not endorse or directly support any politicians. Instead, we invite elected officials and candidates to participate in our events and engage with the American people. 

Embracing Our Political Differences

Disagreement is ok, and it actually helps strengthen our democracy. Let's support the political issues we're passionate about while understanding and respecting our fellow Americans who hold different views. For our country to continue to grow and prosper, let's talk to one another, not silence each other. 

Civil Dialogue

We must move away from the "us vs them" mentality in American politics. As Americans, we tend to agree on most political issues, however, we've allowed the most polarizing issues to drive us apart. We can disagree with our neighbors without being hostile. Americans for Political Tolerance rejects violent political rhetoric and all acts of political violence.
